I think it was because of the managers there. The turn over rate was very high at the store I was at as well. When they told me I could get fired that's when I left. So that policy was just bizarre to me and how strict they were. I've been treated like the responsible adult that I am at my other two jobs and they don't care if we have our phones on us so long as we go to the back or break room to check them. I've never worked a job where you got in trouble for taking your phone out of your pocket on break. I only ever took my phone out in the break room but they saw it come out of my pocket and I was scolded because that meant I was carrying it around on the sales floor. They have an EXTREMLY strict no phones on the floor policy. At the store I worked at the managers were very fake and seemed nice but they gossiped a lot about other employees in a negative way. No one should have to risk their lives for a job. They expect you to be there unless the interstate is closed. Even if you live 45 miles away and can't make it because of a bad snow storm. If you call in 3 days in 6 months you get fired. They have a 3 strike and you're out policy for calling in. Whenever I asked questions the managers always made me feel like I was annoying them. I should have taken that as a sign early on. Very high turn over rate at the store I was at.
